Use cases / NGOs and programmes
Get support to beneficiaries quickly, and prove it reached them.
Send stipends and allowances to many people across networks and banks, and keep the evidence your funders ask for.

Sound familiar?
Programmes pay hundreds of beneficiaries across different networks and banks, and funders want to see exactly who was paid and when.
Hundreds of people, many networks
Beneficiaries use different mobile money networks and banks. Paying them means many different apps, forms and fees.
Did it reach them?
Funders and country offices do not want a promise that people were paid. They want a list: who, how much, when, and whether it arrived.
Mistakes are costly
An allowance sent to the wrong number is a person who goes without, and a report that does not add up.
Field staff and finance staff work apart
Programme officers know who should be paid. Finance controls the money. The gap between them is filled with spreadsheets and chasing.
How it looks in practice
An example monthly stipend round
This is an illustration of how a youth-skills programme might pay its participants each month. It is not a real organisation.
- 1Finance
Funds arrive in the balance
Programme money is added to the Tranzaq balance. The statement shows every top-up with its reference, so the funder's disbursement can be matched.

- 2Programme officer
Register beneficiaries once
Each participant is added with a payout account, and the name on the account is checked and stored. The list is reused every round.

- 3Programme officer
Pay in rounds, from one sheet
One sheet per round. Rows that do not check out, a wrong number or a different name, come back with the reason. Names that only partly match wait for someone to decide.

- 4Finance and programme lead
The right people approve
The programme officer who prepared the round cannot approve it. Finance, and a programme lead for larger rounds, review the total and approve.

- 5Finance
Report with confidence
Every payment shows its status. The statement and the list of payments can be downloaded for the funder.

The people, figures and screens in this walkthrough are illustrations built from demo data. They are not real customers.
Before and after
What changes when payouts stop being a chore.
Who does what
Everyone has a clear part, and no one holds all the keys.
Roles decide who can prepare, who can approve and who can only look. You choose who has which.
Programme officer
Keeps the beneficiary list and prepares each round. Cannot approve it.
Finance officer
Funds the balance and approves rounds under your rules.
Programme lead
Second approver for large rounds.
Monitoring and evaluation, or funder liaison
View-only access to payments and statements for reporting.
Built in, not bolted on
The protections that matter most for this.
These are part of how every payout works, not extras you switch on.
Verified names stored
The account holder's name is checked and kept with each beneficiary, so the list shows who an account really belongs to.
You decide when names differ
A partly matching name waits for a person. A completely different name is refused.
No duplicates in a round
The same account twice in a sheet, or already in the batch, is refused, so nobody is paid twice by accident.
Evidence on demand
Payments, approvals and statements can be downloaded whenever a funder asks.
Practical questions
What people ask before they start.
Something not covered here? Ask us, and we will answer plainly.
Can we pay people who only have a basic phone?
Tranzaq pays to a mobile money number or a bank account. If the person can receive mobile money on that number, they can be paid.
How do we handle a beneficiary who changes number?
Add the new account to the same person. Future rounds can use it, and the earlier payments stay on record.
Can funders see the system?
You can give a funder representative a view-only role, or download statements and payment lists to share.
What about a round of a few hundred people?
Up to 1,000 payments fit in one batch, and each payment is checked and has its own status.
Is there a way to try it without real money?
Yes. Test mode has fake money and a pretend bank, so you can run a whole round before going live.
